This guy didn’t look too happy – maybe he was freezing?

Suddenly out of nowhere these guys appeared – a mob of hundred people dressed in all black clothes. Contrary to the rest of the people present that day, these guys where very aggressive. In fact, the picture below was taken behind three policemen to make sure my camera wasen’t damaged.

This guy must have stolen the statue, which was part of one of the exhibitions set up near the convention center (Bella Center).

Delayed Impressions From COP15

On the 12th of December a big demonstration took place in Copenhagen. The demonstration started at Christiansborg Slotsplads in the middle of Copenhagen and went over Knippelsbro and further through Amager to the congress center – Bella Center. I was present with my camera during the first part of the demonstration of Christiansborg Slotsplads. In this and the following posts I will share some of the impressions I captured that day.

Among the thousands of people present on Christiansborg Slotsplads that day this guy caught my attention – maybe because of his appearance or maybe because this guy just stood calmly among the moving horde of anything but quiet people.

More to come from COP 15…

Fake Sunset Bird Silhouette

Actually, this picture was taken at noon on a gray autumn day in Oslo, Norway. For reasons I’m not sure about I started to work with this picture and at some point it became a silhoutte of a bird with a red/orange background. Now, I would love to report how I came from the original picture to the below result, but the process is far too complex to be described shortly.

Rainy Ghost of Lego

During a rainy afternoon I decided to do some experimentation with my HDR program. I took a series of pictures of a legoman and afterwards a series of pictures of the background. By combining these two series of pictures I wanted to see if I could make the Legoman transparent. The result is shown below.

Art by Nature I

A lemon leaf, captured with my 100 mm F/2.8 macro lens. In the making of this picture I have used HDR to enhance the details of the leaf.

All the white spots on the leaf are vesicles which contain the essential oil that gives lemon leafs their characteristic smell.

Bloom of Surrealism

This picture is pretty much deprived of every last bit of realism – hence the title. Usually not what I do but with this picture i thought it needed some edge.

Bloom of Surrealism

Originally, the picture is of an orange flower (cultivated so don’t know the exact origin). Basically I took away a good part of the color in the picture and added cold tones. Filled some light into the picture – which resulted in the red glow that seems to come from within the flower. Strengthened the shadows and added some dark notes. Picture was taken with my 100 mm F/2.8 canon Macro lens.
